HIGHLAND 1 (PRIMARY & BEGINNER)

Wednesdays 10:00-11:00 (Ages 6-12)

Wednesdays 5:00-6:00 (Teen-Adult)

Thursdays 10:00-11:00 (Ages 6-12)

Thursdays 4:00-5:00 (Ages 5-8)

This class is for new students to learn the core skills of Highland Dancing and for continuing dancers who are advancing their skills. Dancers will learn coordination and grace as they become confident in their dancing abilities and learn about the culture and history of Scottish dancing.

HIGHLAND 2 (ADVANCED)

Thursdays 3:00-4:00

Dancers in this class work on perfecting their Fling, Sword, and Seann Triubbhas, and are introduced to the National dances. Students in this class may begin to compete at Highland Games around the Southeast region.

HIGHLAND 3 (INTERMEDIATE)

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00

This level is for competitive dancers who are entering the Intermediate competition level and above. Dancers work on fine-tuning their technique and higher-end dances such as the Hornpipe, Tulloch, Barracks Johnny, and Earl of Errol. Dancers will fine-tune their turn out, point, jump, and strength as they examine their abilities in each dance and work hard to compete at an advanced level.
